Corey Palmer, a local Barber, Donates Time and Efforts to Seaford Middle School Gentlemen's Club

Local barber, Corey Palmer, generously donated his time and efforts to provide a free service to young men at Seaford Middle School. Mr. Palmer shared a gift of free haircuts to some middle school BlueJays. Some of the students also received holiday gifts. This collaboration was part of the Gentlemen's Club Meeting at Seaford Middle School.

The Seaford School District is so thankful for these community connections and partnership to support our BlueJays. Together we are all stronger. The kids are what it's all about! 💙💛 #WeBelieveInBluejays #BluejayPride #SuccessForAllStudents #CommunityConnections

Seaford School District Proud to Participate in Special Olympics Unified Sports Program

Seaford School District is so proud to participate in the Special Olympics Unified Sports Program. The students did a great job.

Team sports bring people together. Special Olympics Unified Sports® teams do that, too and much more. About 1.4 million people worldwide take part in Unified Sports, breaking down stereotypes about people with intellectual disabilities in a really fun way.

In Unified Sports, teams are made up of people of similar age and ability. That makes practices more fun and games more challenging and exciting for all. Having sport in common is just one more way that preconceptions and false ideas are swept away.

Special Olympics is dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences. Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.
