Updated Meal Service by Seaford Nutrition Services Starting Monday, March 23rd

Starting Monday, March 23rd, the following schedule will be in effect for School Closure Meal Service.

10:00 am - 10:30 am Concord - Dove Estates
10:45 am - 11:15 am Mobile Gardens and West Seaford ES - Pool Side
11:30 am - 12:00 pm Blades Park and Clarence Street Church of God
12:05 pm - 12:35 pm Seaford District Library and St. John's UMC
12:40 pm - 1:10 pm Meadowbridge Apt. and Seaford Meadows Apt.

We will hand out nutritious lunch meal bags and a healthy, start-up-the-day breakfast bag for children to consume the following morning. Students must be present in order to receive the food. This is for children 18 years old and younger. We will continue to keep you updated of any changes.

A Message from Dr. Miklus As Governor Carney Closes Delaware Schools for Two Weeks

Dear Seaford Staff and Families:

In accordance with Governor Carney’s decision, and in order to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus, the Seaford School District will be closed beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020 until March 27, 2020.

The District will continue to keep families informed through various communication tools, including our district website seafordbluejays.org

Again, the Seaford School District will be closed for two weeks beginning Monday, March 16, 2020.

Governor Carney Directs Two-Week Closure of Delaware Public Schools

Governor John Carney on Friday directed all Delaware public schools close from March 16-27, to allow schools to prepare for potential spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). The following is an excerpt from a letter Governor Carney sent to superintendents and charter school leaders on Friday:

Governor Carney Closes All Delaware Schools for Two Weeks

Governor Carney has just announced that all Delaware schools will be closed for the next two weeks. Seaford School District will be closed from March 16th through March 27 until further notice. More information involving the closure will be announced this weekend and early next week. Please stay tuned for updates and be safe.
