Incident at SHS

This afternoon after dismissal at Seaford High School there was an incident with students fighting in the parking lot. In the course of the altercation a community member, who is not a student in our school, discharged a starter pistol. This is similar to what is used to signal the start of an athletic event. It shoots blanks not capable of discharging a projectile. Thanks to Seaford High School Staff, the Seaford Police Department, and our School Resource Officer who was on site, all suspects are in custody and all students are safe. This is an active ongoing investigation with the Seaford Police Department. Seaford Community Night Out and the Seaford Middle School Football game will take place as scheduled.
