Seaford School District Capital Improvement Plan
During the 2018-2019 school year, the key priority for the Office of Administrative Services was to develop a systematic approach for the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive maintenance and facilities plan focused on both the day to day operations and long-range goals to increases operational effectiveness, protect capital investment, ensure the health and safety of students, and support educational performance. A focal point of the key priority was to have a comprehensive structural and mechanical needs assessment completed on each school building. Results of the assessments were made available in the summer of 2019 and fulfilled the requirements for documentation to submit a Certificate of Necessity application to the Department of Education. The results of the needs assessment are provided below and are being used to inform next steps for the district's minor and major capital improvement projects. The key priority from 2018-2019 was developed to guide the district's facility planning for a long term period and will continue for the next several years.
