Seaford High School BPA Students Bring Home State Awards

Members of the Seaford High School chapter of the Business Professionals of America (BPA) attended the 2019 State Leadership Conference for Business Professionals of America in Dover. Team members competed in a variety of events from Digital Media and Economics to Presentation Management and Computer Events. Our students found much success and brought home 13 awards, the most ever for a Seaford High School Chapter. Seaford also won the Professional Cup signifying the top State chapter in Community Service. Additionally, Noelle Kuhoric was recognized as the Student of the Year.

Central Elementary Named a State Recognition School

Secretary of Education Susan Bunting will recognize 16 schools from across the state for their students’ academic achievement on Monday, December 10, and Central Elementary will be among those recognized.

The students at each selected school showed exceptional performance on state tests or made remarkable progress in closing the achievement gaps between student groups, including those from low-income families, racial minority groups and students with disabilities.

Each building named a 2018 Recognition School will receive an $8,000 award. Funding for the awards comes from the state's School Improvement funds.

Winter Fitness and Conditioning Program Available for Female Athletes

The Seaford Athletics Department is planning a winter fitness and conditioning program designed specifically for female athletes. A registration and information session will be held on Tuesday, February 5 at 3:00pm in the Seaford Middle School gymnasium.
