Board Workshop and Community Stakeholder Meetings
The Seaford Board of Education will host a Public Meeting with Community Stakeholder breakout groups on Monday, March 7, 2022 beginning at 5:00 at Seaford High School. The Superintendent and each Director will lead a stakeholder group with the following sessions taking place:
Technology Infrastructure and Connectivity: An update of what updates have taken place with infrastructure and technology and what is coming in the future
Facilities and District Finances: An update on how ESSER money is being spent and looking at facility updates that have been done and what is being updated in the future
Student Walk Zones: A problem in practice discussion around how to support students who walk to school on inclement weather days.
Recruiting, Retention and Marketing: Learn how we are getting educators to ’The Nest’ and how we are working on keeping them here. Also a look at how we get our brand out to the Seaford community and beyond.
College and Career Readiness & Title I Updates: Learn about the Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways at the secondary level as well as updates to Title I.
Superintendent’s Advisory Group: Dr. Miklus shares updates about the District
After the break out groups, the Board Workshop Meeting will begin at 6:00 in the SHS Auditorium where each Director will share out information from their respective group.
