Staff

 

Dr. DiGirolamo has been in public education for more than twenty-five years and brings an extensive background of educational leadership and knowledge to this position. She has served as the district’s Director of Special Education since 2015, and since 2020 has also been in the role of Assistant Superintendent of the Seaford School District. Her familiarity with the staff, students, families, and the Seaford community will make for a seamless transition later this month. 

 

Dr. DiGirolamo holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and French, a Masters of Education in Learning Disabilities, a Doctorate of Education in Administration and Policy, a Graduate Certificate in Autism and Pervasive Development Disorders, and a Graduate Certificate in School Finance. She is Past President and Past Vice President of the Delaware Association of Special Education Professionals and was also named DAESP Administrator of the Year in 2021. 

 

“I’m delighted to continue on my path with the Seaford School District as the new Superintendent; I will lead, learn, collaborate, and serve to the best of my ability,” Dr. DiGirolamo expressed. 

 

The Board of Education is confident that her visionary leadership, collaborative approaches to problem solving, and strong communication skills make her an ideal candidate to lead Seaford’s educational community into a bright and promising future. Dr. DiGirolamo leads with innovative strategies, integrity, and community engagement in mind. She has strengths in a wide range of topics, from curriculum to school finance, that will benefit the district in many ways.
